The Encore program offers a true consulting experience in which each participating associate will be part of a project team and responsible for delivering valuable insights and results for a real client engagement. Upon completion of the program, select participants may be offered full-time positions at A.T. Kearney and the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned and executed against.

Structured. Mentored. Immersive. The Encore Program Difference.

A.T. Kearney’s Encore program is unique because of its structure. Mentored and customized, the 10-week paid internship and training program is oriented around the unique needs of people re-entering their professional careers combined with the individual development needs of each Encore associate. Training activities are designed specifically to build the increasingly complex skill sets required to be successful in the business world and at A.T. Kearney. Client engagements provide Encore associates with the opportunity to demonstrate their personal strengths while also building upon their expertise.

Internships begin with a four-day, intensive training program to learn the fundamental tools, concepts, and methodologies used by practicing consultants and that will be required on client engagements. Sessions also include information about A.T. Kearney’s strategic direction, practice areas, and industry groups. Over the course of the program, Encore associates participate in specialized biweekly professional development sessions to develop industry, process, and product expertise.

Encore associates are also paired with A.T. Kearney consultants who serve as mentors and stay actively involved with with them and their project managers throughout the engagements on which they work. Mid-term reviews are conducted to provide Encore associates with information and direction regarding their performance.

Throughout the program, Encore associates enjoy a series of office and social events where they can meet other A.T. Kearney employees and, at the same time, learn more about areas of the firm and industry practices to which they have not yet been exposed. The events also introduce associates to the uniquely authentic and collaborative culture long attributed to A.T. Kearney’s success.
