As auto sales continue their slow rebound a bright spot is emerging--the low-cost-car segment is expected to grow by 500 percent globally by 2010. The next step for U.S. automotive manufacturers and suppliers is to figure out how to develop a profitable offering in the ULCC segment without hurting revenues in other segments.
