What it means for global companies

You may be tempted to think that because it was halfway around the world where some people got sick (or even died) from eating locally-produced food, however horrific it was for them, such an event should hardly hit the radar of a multinational company. But don't yield to that temptation: It's the same one that asks you to write off a huge portion of your company's future revenues. Although China has made great strides economically, it still needs a reliable food safety and distribution system to serve its growing market.
