Top 10 Points to Remember for the Coming Year
Expect the dreadful financial conditions of the past year to continue in 2009. We will see recessions in the developed countries and extreme slowdowns in the emerging markets. The era of the almighty U.S. consumer may finally be over. Europe will likely see social unrest. And China’s economic engine is not yet big enough to save us. The biggest question is whether the new Obama administration and other world leaders can take the correct actions to avert an even greater crisis, without inadvertently creating a monetary meltdown.
