Assessment of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) 2011 Study

Assessment of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) 2011 StudyA.T. Kearney’s AEP 2011 – the most significant procurement benchmarking study – is available through March 18, 2011

Since the last A.T. Kearney Assessment of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) Study was conducted in 2008, global businesses have been through possibly the worst economic dislocation since the Depression of the 1930’s. Companies across all industries had to address cost issues across the value chain and reevaluate their business models – supply management organizations were on the forefront of these changes. As the global recession recedes and companies focus on moving forward, there are new issues that CPOs must address including: How can I manage rising commodity prices? What will rising labor costs in developing countries do to my cost structure? How do I address sustainability and carbon emission issues? How do I reduce the complexity of my business processes? How can I demonstrate for the CFO and the CEO the value that the procurement organization is delivering to the corporation?
