A.T. Kearney Defines and Expresses What Makes It Meaningfully Distinctive
Firm starts 86th year with new look and focus on what makes it different
Chicago (January 16, 2012) — Global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney today introduced a new look to further distinguish its 86-year-old brand in the global consulting marketplace. The updated visual identity follows a year-long initiative to clarify the firm’s distinctiveness and further define its brand.
“Our clients and alumni around the world tell us that A.T. Kearney is different from other firms, and those stories have become even more pronounced since our return to a partnership in 2006,” said Paul Laudicina, managing partner and chairman of the board of A.T. A.T. Kearney conducted a rigorous, independent review of its brand and the attributes that have made it successful since its founding in 1926. The review uncovered three fundamental characteristics that have evolved from its rich heritage and define the how the firm operates today:

- Authentic,, providing candid, honest and creative approaches that work
- Forward-thinking, always practically applying market foresight to produce both immediate results and build lasting, transformational advantage for clients

A.T. Kearney’s new visual identity, captured in elements ranging from a new logo to the design and presentation of the firm’s printed and digital materials, reflects the firm’s uniqueness and presents A.T. Kearney in a more modern, contemporary way. It is less formal and much more in keeping with the firm’s congenial, approachable style.
An important element of the firm’s new visual identity is the incorporation of its founder’s signature in a subtle way to reflect A.T. Kearney’s rich heritage and serve as a personal commitment by every employee to uphold his legacy. A watermark of Tom Kearney’s original signature will grace the firm’s letterhead, business cards, intellectual capital and other printed material.
More than 60 years ago Tom Kearney wrote, “Our success as consultants will depend upon the essential rightness of the advice we give and our capacity for convincing those in authority that it is good.” Today, these words continue to guide every member of the firm in interactions with clients, communities and each other.
