Ricardo Haneine
With more than 19 years of consulting experience, Ricardo Haneine has focused on strategy in the transportation, finance, consumer goods, and manufacturing industries. Through client engagements, he has developed expertise in topics related to sector competitiveness in Mexico.
Examples of direct client experience include:
- Conducted a competitiveness study of Mexican states for IT and BPO industries; the study was later developed into an investment plan for selected states
- Developed a business plan for MexicoFIRST (institute for development of human capital in IT and BPO)
- Conducted CEO-level strategic topics assessment
- Implemented various projects related to Mexican competitiveness
- Conducted strategic and organizational studies of the banking and airline industries during times of dramatic change
- Developed business plans for the creation of two banks
- Participated in privatization processes involving Mexico’s banking sector, airlines, ports, and airports
- Assessed export attractiveness for the Mexican industrial sector
- Analyzed NAFTA implications for European firms
- Estimated economic value of water wholesale services and proposed a market-based tariff structure
Before joining A.T. Kearney, Ricardo worked for CINTRA, a Mexican airline holding company, where he was director of internet strategy. From 1985-1998, Ricardo worked in the strategy, privatization, transportation, and financial industry groups for McKinsey & Co.
He has prepared presentations for various forum events, including IMEF, The Economist, ITAM, Comisión Nacional de Valores. He is also a member of airline and financial industry leadership groups.
Ricardo has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in economics and accounting from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
