Global Partner Alumni Reunion
July 8-9, 2011 | Chicago, IL
The Firm welcomed 30 former partners and their spouses to the Global Partner Alumni Reunion in Chicago on July 8 and 9. It was a pleasure to reconnect with this group of former colleagues, some of whom traveled long distances, to reminisce and enjoy each other’s company. Our program started with a welcome reception where the group quickly got reacquainted—sharing laughs and stories of days gone by that seemed like only yesterday. On Saturday morning, the group gathered for a firm update from Paul Laudicina, Managing Officer and Chairman of the Board, and John Yoshimura, Chief Operating Officer. This was followed by a presentation by Mike Moriarty (Chicago), who shared highlights of our recent survey on the aging consumer. Finally, Bob Duffy (San Francisco) facilitated a discussion on how we can make our alumni program more valuable and how to best involve our partner alumni. We received great feedback and look forward to implementing their suggestions. The program ended with a cruise on Chicago’s beautiful lakefront on a perfect city evening, complete with fireworks.

Attendees included Art Kelly, who joined the firm in 1956 and subsequently started the firm’s global operations in Düsseldorf; Werner Borrmann and Fritz Kröger, who traveled from Germany; and firm icons such as Fred Steingraber, Avi Porat, Jim Lagges and John Egan, to name a few.

Our thanks to all who attended and whose presence and active participation made the reunion a resounding success.

Mexico City's Offsite Retreat Brings Spirit of Service to Life
May 2011 | Mexico City
The Mexico City office used its annual offsite retreat as an opportunity to give back to the community, and make some new friends in the process. Colleagues traveled to San Miguel de Allende, a historical town two hours from Mexico City, to visit Casa de Los Angeles, a day-care center for young children from low-income families. Much-needed—and much appreciated—gifts were brought both for the house and the kids. The experience was unforgettable for everyone who participated and certainly brought the A.T. Kearney Spirit of Service to life.
