Oliver Scheel
Oliver Scheel is a partner in A.T. Kearney and the European practice leader for A.T. Kearney’s complexity management practice. Oliver joined A.T. Kearney in 2000 and has over fourteen years of industry (chemicals and consumer goods) and consulting experience.
Oliver’s consulting focuses on complexity management as well as broader operations, including supply and supply chain management, with an emphasis on process industry and consumer goods.
Representative engagements include:
- Complexity reduction for a market-leading white goods player: portfolio reduction, horizontal and vertical component commonality across sub-platforms, SKU variant reduction
- Cross value chain profitability push through complexity reduction programs for a leading adhesives producer in EU and NA
- Product and customer complexity optimization initiative for a specialty chemical company
- Design and implementation of a sustainable complexity management regime in a consumer goods company, including complexity cost transparency, KPIs/hurdle rates, governance and incentive system
- Multi-year global supply management program for a global chemical player
Oliver has published numerous articles in management journals and news magazines on complexity management issues and innovative cost reduction approaches.
Oliver earned a Masters in chemicals from the University of Hamburg, Germany. He also holds a PhD in chemistry.
