Joon Ooi

Joon Ooi is a partner based in A.T. Kearney’s Kuala Lumpur office. He joined A.T. Kearney in 1991 in Chicago and was made a partner in 1998. Currently, he is the Asia Pacific practice leader for A.T. Kearney’s complexity management, and also is responsible for the operations practice.

A Malaysian citizen, Mr. Ooi has worked extensively in the United States and throughout Asia Pacific. He has led and participated in a wide variety of projects with primary focus on organizational and asset effectiveness, supply chain management, strategic procurement, and complexity management. Most of these consultancy projects have been conducted for organizations in the oil and gas, telecommunications, financial services, and consumer products industries.

Joon is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he obtained his undergraduate degree in structural engineering. He subsequently obtained a Masters in Engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
