He also worked for NAGRA, Switzerland, related to radioactive waste disposal, and was an industrial merchant for Pirelli AG, Germany.
Bernhard has a PhD in Geology (Dr. rer. nat.) from Universität Bern, an M.B.A. from Universität Würzburg, and a B.S. in geology from Universität Würzburg/ University of Texas at Austin.
