A.T. Kearney's pledge — leading by doing

As we advise and work with clients to develop and implement sustainable strategies, we are also committed to adopting sustainable practices for our own operations. In 2007, we made an industry-leading pledge to become carbon neutral by 2010 reducing our emissions and investing in climate-protecting projects meeting the highest international quality standards. On July 19, 2010, we proudly announced that we reached this goal.

Consistent with this pledge, we launched initiatives to limit internal travel; shift necessary travel from air to rail as feasible; select services from among carbon-efficient airlines, hotels and rental car companies; increase the use of public transit; and pioneered new ways to measure and track the environmental impact of our business travel. We’ve sought out innovative, collaborative technologies to interact with clients in more sustainable ways and created more energy efficient and environmentally friendly offices. Even as we celebrate our carbon neutrality, we recognize that it is one step on a much longer journey, and we remain dedicated to creating and implementing innovative solutions that promote sustainability—both for us and our clients.
